Nine years ago today—
Yet it feels like yesterday
It had been like any other day
For a while, everything was okay
Then it happened, without warning
On that bright September morning,
To the public's horrified eyes,
A plane fell out of the blue skies
The plane was quickly losing power
It hurtled straight into a tower
A burst of flames, a thunderous roar—
Unlike anything you've seen before
Then a second plane came into view
It also crashed, into Tower Two
Now two towers were engulfed in fire
As swirls of black smoke billowed higher
It was a literal nightmare come true
Many stood, at a loss of what to do
Some merely stared, with terror in their eyes
While others covered their faces and cried
Others rushed into action, risking their lives
In hopes of saving those who were trapped inside
Before too long, the lofty towers came crumbling down
What was once the glory of New York now lay on the ground
Many precious lives were lost that day
All faith and hope had been blown away
A tragedy that engulfed the entire nation—
An unhealable scar on our generation
Countless prayers were said
Floods of tears were shed
"How could this happen?" some would ask;
"Why did God let this come to pass?"
Unseen, God was already there
His ear caught every cry and prayer
He wept for His children, and even then,
There were some who chose to forget Him.

Protector
It was a nice summer night. Jesus stroked Cayla's head slowly and carefully, He put His fingers through her fine red hair. She purred and patted Jesus's left hand. He smiled and said, "Love, I need to tell you something."
She sat upright in His lap.
"What is it, Jesus?" she asked eagerly.
"You need to know of My protection."
Two doves flew up a tree right across from the Olive Grove where they were sitting. One of the doves was gently cooing to the other, and the other dove responded by cooing back. Cayla watched carefully and then Jesus pointed at them.
"Do you see those two doves, love?" He asked.
"Surely..." sh

The Fear of Death
The fear of Death is a destructive weakness. To fear Death one must first realise the amount of control the devil has on this world, however, to have the belief that there is such a monster alive today, one must also know there is good fighting against evil, otherwise this world would be hell on earth. So there must be a God, if they know this then what is there to fear? God has already won, when he sent his only son to die for our sins and rise again.
Christ has overcome death and all evil.
We shall not fear, just give your life to the lord and we shall have eternal life in him. He is the creator!

Unchain Me
"Unchain me!" she cried,
"Pull me out of this dark!
How long must I stay
locked away in my fears?
I plead every day,
I beg all the time -
why don't you unchain me?
Why am I not free?"
"My child," he said,
"Do you not see?
Your chains are long gone,
and you've been set free!
Why do you still fear,
and tremble with closed eyes?
It is finished already -
do not be afraid!"

I think that just about sums it all up.
Even after nine years, the horrific memory is as fresh and potent as ever, and the scars still remain.
May God bless you all, and in the words of George W. Bush, may God continue to bless the U.S.A.
