No, you're not seeing things (even though you technically are). I, Mel Mather, deliberately purchased a copy of the classic vampire tale. People say it's far superior to that other vampire tale, so I'd like to see for myself.

Besides, if I'm going to write my own horror and suspense, might as well learn from the masters.
