Begging Aslan's Forgiveness

I am an ultra-mega fan of James McAvoy, and I absolutely LOVE how he portrays Tumnus in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe". (Too bad he won't be featured in "Prince Caspian". Bummer!)

As you all know, the great lion Aslan magically restores Tumnus to life after the White Witch turns the faun to stone. But what they don't show in the movie (or in the book, for that matter) is just how Tumnus reacted when he laid eyes upon Aslan for the very first time. Sure, you see how he stares at Aslan in amazement after Lucy and Susan hug him -- but that's about as far as they go.

If I had my way, if I could add an extended scene to the movie, I would show how Tumnus repented of his wrongdoings. This drawing portrays that concept. Tumnus, after having greeted Lucy, now bows himself at Aslan's paws and tearfully implores the Great Lion to forgive him for nearly turning Lucy in, and for fraternizing with the White Witch in the first place. (And if you thought it was easy, drawing Tumnus in that kind of position, guess again. I had to re-draw him several times over before I was satisfied.)

I really love that look of compassion upon Aslan's face. Yes, I know he looks remarkably like Simba from "The Lion King", but I tried to not copy Simba too much, I tried to draw Aslan in my own style as best I could; so, please cut me some slack. And yes, I know the background looks kinda bad, but I'm really not much of a background artist.

This is one of the very few fan art pieces in which I will add a watermark. I really love this piece, I put a lot of emotion and effort into it, and I don't want anyone else messing around with it. And I refuse to accept any insulting remarks concerning my work.
